FOMECO among DAF's top 7 suppliers

With its comprehensive Supplier Performance Management (SPM) programme, DAF continuously evaluates the performance of its suppliers in terms of product development, operational activities and after-sales support. Outstanding suppliers were put in the spotlight during the 2025 DAF SPM Recognition Event. This took place in Eindhoven at DAF headquarters.
As a subsidiary of PACCAR, DAF annually recognises its best-performing suppliers from the SPM programme. Suppliers who achieve the status of SPM Master, Leader or Achiever are honoured. The SPM programme encourages both cooperation between DAF and its suppliers and the continuous improvement process between them. This leads to performance improvements and product innovations.
‘DAF is focused on continuously improving so that we can offer our customers the best products and services,’ said Jos Smetsers, Executive Director PACCAR Purchasing and member of DAF's Executive Board. "Suppliers play an important role in exceeding our customers' expectations. Their involvement in the SPM programme illustrates their enormous commitment to DAF. By giving them a stage, we honour their contribution to DAF's success."
Masters
The title of Master was awarded for the first time to Tri-Ring Forging (China - metal components) and Fomeco (Belgium - pipes). Fiberpachs (Spain - sheet metal exterior parts), Schultz (Brazil - cast iron parts), and Theuws (Netherlands - exterior parts) received the title for the second year in a row and Goodyear (US - tyres) for the fourth time. Berco (Netherlands - interior parts) was even named Master for the seventh consecutive year. Furthermore, another 36 suppliers went home as 2024 SPM Leaders, and 41 as 2024 SPM Achievers.
CEO Vincent Bayart : So we are among DAF's top seven suppliers, and in doing so we are the only Belgian company to belong to the select club. I can therefore be incredibly proud of the Fomeco Team, which has achieved a unique performance in these economically no-easy times. Our intensive collaboration in developing the cooling system for their new electric truck has certainly played an important role in achieving the Master level. This recognition will surely also help in further growth within DAF.
